The PVS-14 is the current standard issued night vision device of the US military. Versatile, compact, and durable. PVS-14 allows the user to retain their night-adapted vision in one eye while viewing their surroundings through the illuminated eyepiece of the PVS-14. The PVS-14 offers night vision capabilities to the user at a great value.

Featuring Photonis commercial spec XX1441BR Gen-2 intensifier tubes. Providing basic night vision capabilities at a lower price

I’ve owned Gen 1 NODs before in the past but wow, this thing is awesome. I can definitely tell that I did lose some image quality and brightness by going the Gen 2 route but considering I’m using this for airsoft and just walking around in the outdoors it does the job. Nighthawk shipped fast and I’m overall satisfied with my purchase. I think I’ll be making the upgrade to Gen 3 and possibly white phos in the future but this should keep me happy for the next few years. If you’re looking for a first step into quality night vision I’d say this is a good route.
