NVD BNVD-SGC Night Vision Binocular
Lead Time: 8-12 weeks
The next generation Binocular Night Vision Device – Single Gain Control, is the culmination of improvements to the rugged and proven BNVD-SG system. Utilizing feedback from thousands of end-users, the BNVD-SGC introduces a new rotary control switch. The single switch controls system power, gain, and auxiliary functions, providing intuitive control with a substantially lower weight. The BNVD-SGC also includes an improved Diopter Adjustment Assembly with reduced backlash, tighter feel, and improved strength. The IR Spot Flood Assembly has been upgraded to provide a wider Flood setting, filling the entire field of view, as well as a more concentrated Spot setting to illuminate hallways and caves void of light. The BNVD-SGC comes standard with Lightweight Sacrificial Windows which can be threaded into the Objective Lenses to provide protection while still allowing the use of the Lens Covers. Like its predecessor, the BNVD-SGC features diopter focus from +2 to -6 diopters, a close focus of 9.8 inches (25 cm), and fully meets the latest release of MIL-STD-810H including 66-foot immersion
Adjustable Gain
The BNVD-SG operates with a single gain control knob that controls both eyepieces simultaneously. Depending upon the amount of ambient light, the user can adjust the tube brightness (gain) lower to compensate for overly bright conditions or to increase the gain under extreme dark conditions.
Articulating with auto-shutoff
The BNVD-SG can be used as a monocular by choosing which side you want to use as your night vision eye and rotate the other side/arm of the binocular up and out of the way. This enhanced capability allows the user to rotate either monocular channel away from their eye while leaving the other monocular channel in place. This provides the operational flexibility to use the BNVD-SG as either a dual-eye or single-eye device. When used as a monocular, the user can operate the BNVD-SG with an optic or thermal imaging device without sacrificing night-time situational awareness.
Durable and Ultra-Lightweight
Designed for durability, constructed with Carbon-Filled Molded ULTEM. Meets ALL MIL STD 810 Environmental QA Testing Standards, MIL-PRF-49324 (CR), and MIL-PRF49427 (CR). While weighing only 475 Grams (16.8oz). Equipped with RPO optics for minimum weight.
